It seems impossible that it’s been barely a month since we made the decision to leave our current apartment and hope for a successful house hunt – it feels much, much longer. Low stress weeks, they were not. In other news, though, we’re wrapping up a big, exciting project for The Kiernan Gallery, and we […]

As we were heading back from New Hampshire on Sunday, cell service returned – and I received a flurry of twitter notifications, including one from Nathaniel Fink with a photo of his photo of us in the latest Momentum Magazine.
I tried, again, to capture some firework magic this year. A tripod helps for sure; the “good” camera doesn’t hurt. Here are a few of my favorite after-dark photos from our time in New Hampshire.
Two weeks ago, while we were whiling away the weekend on Sturdivant Island, we found ourselves with no occasion to use our camera tripod because the supermoon was super cloud-covered. Since we hauled it to the island by boat, it seemed a shame; we gathered up some friends and some sparklers instead. Using a tripod […]
New England: if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute. There have been a lot of ups and downs this spring, and yesterday’s weather surprised everyone and no one at all. We were just leaving Clio with my mother, having survived the storm unscathed and mostly dry, when this beauty showed up.
We were a little slow on the uptake, but a big thank you is in order to Elaine for including our Boston via Hopkinton poster in her recent Boston-themed Etsy treasury (alongside the lovely Anna of Dear Friend, I might add). Thanks, Elaine! Posters are available in our shop (and on Etsy), and by popular […]

We’ve also had home improvements on the brain lately. On Friday, while we were locked down indoors during the beautiful sunny weather, we took a few moments away from the […]
Jack and I headed to the South End Athletic Company last night for a group run and meditation: three laps around the Boston Common, for the three confirmed fatalities in Monday’s attack. It was a beautiful group, and it felt good to run. We were also honored to be featured in a “Love from Boston” […]
Happy Marathon Monday! Patriots’ Day is a holiday for many of us in Boston, and since I’m not running this year, I’ll be spending the afternoon cheering on runners as they make their way through Cleveland Circle. Maybe I’ll modify a Boston via Hopkinton poster to hold up so everyone can find me. Speaking of […]
As tens of thousands of runners look toward Marathon Monday in Boston (April 15), I find myself a little wistful – grateful for the winter spent skiing instead of training, but envious of all of the excitement. Are you running Boston this year? Help me live vicariously! Share photos of your bib or medal with us, and […]
