All That Glimmers is Pyrotechnic

When I scheduled a post for July 4 stating that we would miss the view from the deck of our old apartment, I had no idea what was in store for us in our new neighborhood.

Aside from being treated to some brilliant fireworks shot off a boat on a lake in New Hampshire by the brave brother of Danielle, we discovered that Roxbury is in fact a hot spot for viewing both Boston’s nationally televised display as well as a full week of pyrotechnic pandemonium taking place in every mostly-open space in the vicinity.

What’s your favorite spot to catch fireworks around the Fourth?

Well, I am a bit biased, but definitely the lake. The round of fireworks the next night was pretty cool too. The lake neighbors took turns, you could see the town’s display over the tree tops, and our family friend brought some (mostly) legal dynamite sticks that shook us all.
