Spring has taken its sweet time, but finally things are starting to enter full bloom – outdoors and in.
Over the holidays, we ordered a grab bag of air plants from Tortoise Loves Donkey. We dragged our feet, and they were too late to give as gifts, so now our apartment is filled with the little buggers.
I don’t really mind, though – especially not since they’ve started sprouting flowers! Air plants are a) difficult (though not impossible) for me to kill and b) great conversation pieces.
This little guy in particular is one of my favorites, in part because I’m partial to his container. When we got him, that flowering antanae was nowhere to be found; it’s been so neat to watch a seemingly lifeless, rootless plant grow and change from its perch on our bookshelves.
