Time in transit is always introspective for me – by bike, by car, on foot, on a bus, or through the skies, I tend to spend travel time lost in thought. My trip to and from New York last weekend was no different; I took a lot of notes.
Something about Jim Darling’s illustrations from the perspective of a plane window captures that sense of introspection and endless possibility for me.
Painted on wood, this series represents only a small part of Darling’s varied collection of work; be sure to check out his portfolio (and typography sculpture!), or read more on his blog.
How do you occupy your time in transit?
