Jack and I are moving a little slower than usual today after a whirlwind tour and a full schedule of wedding activities – but good times were had by all. Elizabeth, a Pittsburgh native, requested a full recap, and who am I to object?
Here’s an overview, in pictures. Happy Monday!
Our hosts suggested Meat & Potatoes for a late dinner on Thursday – and the marrow we shared at the table seems most likely to have been dinosaur bones.
I snagged my only fastnacht of the season. (Thanks for sharing, Brooks!)

More hexagons!
I mixed pocket margaritas for the wedding trolley, while Jack checked out local Wigle Whiskey between the ceremony and reception.
Photographer Alison Mish and her husband Mike were an absolute joy to spend the day with, and I can’t wait to see the final photos – catch a few sneak peeks over at Alison’s blog, they’re stunning!
How was your weekend?

YAY! Gorgeous photos – especially that yellow bridge shot. And Heinz chapel is so pretty – my cousin was married there a couple years ago. I wish I’d known about the Mattress Factory the last time I was there. Did you get a chance to ride the Monongahela Incline? (you’ll know it from the movie Flashdance)
thanks for the recap!

Elizabeth, thank you! I love that second yellow bridge photo, it might be my favorite of the weekend. No incline this trip, though I did get to catch the view from Mt. Washington during our wedding photo tour!
