Jack and I are suckers for a good making-of video (better yet, a live tour!). One of our favorite weekends this summer was spent exploring the processes and machinery at Streamline Press in Connecticut. (Spoiler alert: we designed and developed the Streamline site.)
As designers, there is nothing better to educate our own processes and considerations than witnessing printing challenges and mechanisms in the flesh. Working with presses, getting our hands on stock samples and talking with the pros helps us to design more efficiently – and, thus, more cost-effectively – for print, and for our clients.
All of that is to say, we’re a bit biased – but we think you’ll love this beautiful video about engraving (in the context of stationery) almost as much as we did.
