As we approach the one year anniversary of some dear friends, another 2012 project throwback is in order.
We shared a sneak peak of Bob and Grace’s marriage announcements last year, but never the final project. The couple had a small, intimate city hall wedding in Cambridge, just before graduating from their respective graduate programs and also moving. The announcements were a catchall update for friends and family.
To keep printing and shipping costs low, we opted for a flat card; to keep the piece intact in the mail, we included matching ivory envelopes.
On the card front, we utilized a series of three shots captured by photographer Hannah Persson on the steps of Cambridge City Hall. We pulled the wallpaper in the courtroom, visible in the “kiss photo” captured by a friend in attendance that was used on the verso, and created a vector file in Illustrator to draw the pattern into the card front background.
The back of the card featured the couple’s message as well as the crowd favorite kiss photo.
